How many teams in each division?
There are 8 - 12 teams in each division. Occasionally this may
differ slightly.
(EACH TEAM PLAYS EACH OTHER TWICE)
What are the leagues age categories?
There are 3 age categories, 11 to 13 years, 14 to 16 years and
17 +
How long are the games?
Each match is 30 minutes long.
How many players can be used in one game?
8 players may be used for 5-a-side leagues (5+3 subs).
Do all player need consent and registration forms?
Yes, every player aged 11 to 16 years old will need to have a
signed parental consent form completed before their first match. Players 17 + will
need to complete the registration form with their details, before their first match.
Consent and registration forms can be down loaded from the web site collected from
league venues or sent out by post. All forms can be posted back to Social Soccer
or handed in to staff at the league venue. Players who join a team into the season
must also complete consent or registration.
Can we use more than 8 players during the season?
You may use any amount of players throughout the season –
see rules for details.
What time do the matches start?
Match start times vary. Every team will receive a complete fixture
list and timetable of their matches (YOUR FIXTURES AND MATCH TIMES WILL NOT CHANGE)

Can we choose the kick off time that we play?
You can advise us of a preferred time you need to play at and
we will try our best to get you on the fixtures at that time each week.
Do you award trophies?
Yes, we give winners and runners up of each division individual
trophies. There are also individual awards.
Is the league affiliated?
Yes, the league will be affiliated to the FA. As will all the
teams.
What type of footwear can be worn?
This can vary; on lot of astroturfs you can wear moulded studs
or trainers. We will inform you before the season starts.
What happens if our opposition doesn't turn up?
We will arrange a friendly game for you and you will be awarded
a 5-0 win for that particular game.
What if a team drops out of our league?
If a team drops out of the league we will try to replace them.
If this cannot be done immediately, a friendly game will be arranged for the same
time.
Do we require matching shirts?
No, Bibs will be provided.
Are shin pads compulsory?
Shin pads are compulsory, referees are not responsible for checking
shin pads, and all players must wear them.
Do you supply the referee?
Yes, a qualified FA referee will be supplied for all matches.
How much per game?
The cost of each game is £8 per team (That’s £1
per player).
